The price for calcium silicon in China can be divided into 4 types, namely, EXW price for Ca30Si60; market price for Ca2; transaction price for Ca28Si55 or Ca28Si50.
To begin with, EXW price is nearly by 1502-1516 USD/MT in Chinese market wherever in Shaanxi, Ningxia or Inner Mongolia. And for Ca2, market transaction price ranged from 1488 to 1502 USD/MT in not only Ningxia but also Shaanxi or Inner Mongolia. What’s more, price for Ca28Si55 is about 1405-1433 USD/MT and minimum price for Ca28Si50 is 1321 USD/MT approximately.
FOB Price for CaSi
According to data for export market, FOB Tianjin $1525/MT approximately for Ca30Si60. In terms of Ca28Si55, FOB Tianjin price is slightly lower than Ca30Si60 and is about $1505/MT.

Calcium Silicon Alloys
After Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) holiday, downstream market had a strong waiting emotion, it caused overall calcium silicon market transacted quietly. While, calcium silicon factories continued producing CaSi during the whole Spring Festival holiday, inventory increased promptly. Thereby, pressure will be increased and price downed to a low level. Furthermore, demand for downstream enterprises recovered tardily. Thus, factories had to reduce price to sell calcium silicon(CaSi). Unfortunately, this phenomenon will continue for a short term. Price will be not declined sharply due to high costs support.
Calcium Metal
When it comes to calcium metal, the situation is similar to calcium silicon we mentioned above. Likewise, most of calcium plants has produced Ca metal during the Spring Festival holiday, it leads to oversupply. Moreover, plenty of downstream enterprises has replenished their stocks before the Chinese New Year, therefore, their purchasing enthusiasm is weaker after the holiday. At that moment, calcium metal market demand recovers slowly. Quoted price of metallic calcium plants has declined by 70 USD/MT approximately. It is anticipated that price for calcium metal market will be stable and maintain this price next several weeks.
