Production Method of Pure Calcium Metal

        There are two methods for producing calcium metal at present, those are electrolysis and reduction method respectively.

        Including, reduction method is easy relatively. We take it as an example to introduce its producing method roughly. First of all, we make limestone calcined until it changed into calcium oxide, then, crush it and mix with Al powder in a certain proportion. Calcium vapour and CaAl are formed due to their reaction. Moreover, it reduced into crystalline Ca. Last but not least, it forms calcium ingot.

        It has plenty of applications for calcium metal such as deoxidizer, desulphurizer, reducing agent, making batteries,etc. Including, we only talk about these two applications that related industry field —— deoxidizer and desulphurizer.
